SHIFT is an app that lives on your computer but modifies your smartphone. It allows you to put your smartphone into a mode where distracting entertainment apps are shifted off the phone (no social media, games, news, YouTube, etc.,) but the productive utilities of a smartphone remain (call, text, camera, banking, travel, etc.) SHIFTing can be set up to work on automatic schedules, or manually triggered for focus sessions, and it can also be extended for significantly long periods of time (REHAB mode) for those who want to totally alter their relationship with addicitive apps. It's deliberately designed to be hard/impossible to get around.
